My Bands Fourth Demo, for anyone who's interested...

Re: My Bands Fourth Demo, for anyone who's interested...

Awesome as usual, man. I'm digging it.

How do you play these songs live? You're a three-piece, right? Do you use a lot of loopers and sampling or do you just play more stripped back, basic versions of them?

I think it's a great tune. Good work man!

I dig it.

I'm assuming he plays each part until the next one goes in and then does that.

Yeah for right now, basically a more stripped down version of everything...We're trying to find a second/lead guitarist, but its sorta difficult around here, everyones way into metal, so they wanna shred and don't get that we need someone who'll do whats right for the song...not something that will be showy and un-necessary.
For the vocal weirdness at the end (or any doubled vocals in our songs) my drummer covers some stuff too.

I think it's a great tune. Good work man!

Thank you sir!

Pretty much...Sometimes I'll do weird combinations of parts, covering the chord progressions and melody stuff at the same time, when I can...other times just stripped down, playing only the rhythm...

Cool stuff as usual! Keep rockin.

Thanks!

I dig it, kinda reminds me of the alternative 90's bands.
But I think the song needs more of a climax at the end with loads of distortion. No?
What's the shimmering effect on the guitar in the chorus? Sounds real crisp!

Well when we play it live the end of the song is different most the time....Pretty much everything after "And you're right..." leads into a MUCH heavier climax, which is actually the lead in for the next song...so I sorta agree...it just worked better recorded this way for now.

The Shimmering effect in the "chorus" (there is no chorus technically, so I'm assuming you mean the second section?)...theres four guitars layered during that part...The Shimmer is mostly because of the layers...But theres also some Tremolo and Chorus on two of the guitars during that part.

Very cool! What gear did you use?

Thanks!

Gear...Guitars: a cheap "Mitchell" acoustic, MIA Telecaster (w/GFS Lil'Killer), MIM Telecaster (w/unknown brand bridge pickup), and a "Douglas" ES-335 clone....Amps: 83' Fender Concert w/EVM12L, and a 1980 Fender Bassman 70 (through a sunn 412).
