no offense dude, but your drummer really needs some lessons in timing.. he seems to be off a lot in the song

The vocals seemed to be a bit off pitch in some areas.

Lol, yeah I was expecting the drummer to get critics. Don't know what he was doing that day, normally he is a tight hard hitter. Probably just studio nerves. In fact we all kinda messed up because we arrived late at the studio and had to jam everything out in 2 and a half hour. Oh well better luck next time.

Yeh the drummer really does seem really off..

and id agree that the vocals are a bit off in places too..

The recording isn't that great and the drummer is off, yeah.

But the songs are quite cool. I like the intro a lot for Used. You should re-record it.

Not my style, but the songs were pretty cool, and i cant wait till i get my band set up, it wil be so awsome just hanging out doing what ya love :butkick:

Not my style as well...but the songs did have catchy parts to them. Two and a half hours sure isn't alot of time to lay down songs. We had 24 hours to do six songs.....and it took us around 3 hours just to adjust to the studio and play like we do in practice (that damn red light!).

You sound like you have alot of energy, which if you are mainly a live band is the most important thing IMO. Its not fun seeing a band who are good musicians if there is no energy or stage presence.

After hearing all the songs, it is kinda my style, so ill give a little 'mini review'.

State of mind- good but maybe about 30 secs too long, keep um short and sweet
Used- Nice intro, liked this one alot, nice work between the guitars. Bit of a shame about the drummer.
Crossing the line- Lots of energy, i think this would be a good one to see done live.

In general the drummer was obvoiusly a bit hit an miss, but if hes usually tight mayb it was just an 'off-day', the vocals a bit rough around the edges, but i thought they worked well and suited the songs. The songwriting was pretty good too, catchy stuff, overall I like it!

Thanks for listening guys! Glad some of you liked the songs.
We definately need more studio time, next time we are going to record. (and a studio we can actually find on time! :smack: ) Especially to record the vocals.
570ex, thanks for the review, yes we do a lot of jumping around and going crazy on stage. We play a lot harder and faster on stage as well.
