My bridge ground wire broke in the control cavity in the hole. Now what?

I have a vintage Ibanez Studio that has become an extension of my arm. Where do the wires go to through the wood? Is there a way to put another wire in there? My P-Rails are buzzing like mad. Help!!!

If your P-Rails are buzzing that bad, you may have other issues as well. You'll probably need to pop out the studs for the bridge/tailpiecce (if it has that type) or pop the brige off and see where the wires go to.

Can you post a pic of the guitar or bridge style?

It's probably not impossible.

I'm not familiar with that guitar, so pics would be very helpful.

If it's like a Les Paul, then the wire probably goes to the closest tailpiece bushing. It can be fixed.

The idea to use the player's belly (or balls) for shielding is life-threatening nonsense in the first place.

If you do a complete shielding job on the cavity and all cables to pickups, switch and plugs you will have no difference in hum between touching the strings or not (with no ground wire). But there will be a huge difference in life expectancy if you ever play with an amp broken the wrong way.

I would see this as an opportunity, not a problem.

Amen, Tom Anderson doesn't use bridge grounds for the same reason.

Time for copper shielding the pickups and cavity.
