My Cover of Follow Me Now by Jason Gleed (Chipmunks Version)

Re: My Cover of Follow Me Now by Jason Gleed (Chipmunks Version)

On the subject of the tuning issue, I don't believe I sounded out. I could hear my guitar in the mix fine, because I recorded said track in mono with the iPad (now dead) placed in front of my amp.

Belief should have nothing to do with it. You keep telling everybody that your BOSS TU-3 is a great tuner. Use it.

I could hear my guitar in the mix fine, because I recorded said track in mono with the iPad (now dead) placed in front of my amp.

This sentence is a non-sequitur. The second clause does nothing to explain the first clause.

The fact that you could hear your guitar clearly with respect to the Jason Gleed track bears no relation to the finished mixing levels UNLESS you were recording directly to stereo in real time.

I would like to point out that at this point the iPad had been dead for five days now.

What is your point, exactly?

It just seemed weird that his excuse was that his iPad was dead, yet never seemed to charge it in 5 days. Almost like it was another excuse for low quality recording?

As you will have noticed, Nathan always has a borderline plausible excuse to offer whenever things do not turn out as wonderfully as his initial hyperbole suggested that they would.

If you can stand to, re-read through some of Nathan's old threads. A pattern will soon emerge. I shall leave you to draw your own conclusions.
