My DK2M Arrived at my tech friends place....

I bought a Jackson DK2M on ebay a little while ago and it arrived at my friends house today. Hes putting some EMG's in it for me and setting it up with 10-46's in standard tuning and blocking the trem for me.

Pep, next time you restring, I suggest changing the black pup rings to chrome. I simply can't imagine how KILLER that would be. You'd definitely be on to something supremely slick with that...

EMGs are boring and why buy a floyded guitar if you then block it without ever using it?

Slick as hell, gonna agree on the consensus about the EMG too, same about the Floyd (although I could understand if you wanted to set it for dive only) but, your guitar, your rules ;)

Silver pickups rings sound interesting...

Emg's because i like how they sound. And i like how tight they are for metal riffing. When i talk about metal i'm not talking about 80's hair metal groups like white snake.

I'm talking about that kinda thing.
Blocking the trem because i liked everything else about the guitar so i thought why not, "i can block the trem anyway"
I'm giving the duncans to the friend who is doing this stuff for me. Him and i trade favours regularly but i'm just giving him the duncans for the sake of it really since hes done a buncha stuff for me in the past. Hes gonna put them in a gibson explorer that hes doing up.

Looks really nice and not a big Jackson guy either.

But with those things it seems you better be able to rip to own one :)

David is putting the EMG's in shortly. then hell be sending it up for me.

I'm not a big Jackson fan, but that guitar is very sharp.

Seriously though, nice guitar. I have a black DK2 with Duncans and it absolutely rips. I mean it slays. It slaughters.
