My dream pedal of the moment

It might already exist, and if so I count on you all to let me know where to find it.

So, some of you might have noticed a pattern in my posting lately. It all revolves around finding a distortion type pedal that will give some extra grit to my wee Laney while pleasing my ear, of course. But this last point has been driving me mad, and the pattern appearing in this search is I am going a bit all over the place.
I guess that is what you could call refinement in the search process.

What I am looking for now, is a pedal providing a mid boost and some extra drive. Something with a more modern style distortion that I could blend with the fuzz of my amp.

Tell me there is a pedal out there that just this and you'll bring a big smile on my face :bigthumb: .

Well a tubescreamer kind of sounds like what you described but if you want something with a more modern distortion tone maybe a keeley ds-1 might do the trick? I have both a tubescreamer and the ds-1 and both are pretty cool. and both work well on top of amp distortion.
