Hello
First, hi , to moderator and thanks on this forum.
Im a musican and play guitar. My guitar Epi dot 335 is very nice but sound is not good.
I decide to buy Seymour Duncan APH-2S Slash and Alnico II Pro ZB with Electronic Exchange Set for Single Cut Guitars(4 CTS A500K Long shaft pots
1 x Switchcraft mono jack
2 x Orange Drop 715P 0,022 mf
1 x Switchcraft straight toggle switch
Vintage Braided Wire
Buss Wire).
I like to know is it good choice for playing rock/jazz/pop.
Which one pickup put on bridge which one to neck?
Thanks a lot

I would think those would work just fine for all of those uses

Put the A2P in the Neck position
Put the Slash in the Bridge

Adjust the overall height of each, then adjust the pole pieces. It should work good.

And Welcome! Where are you from?

Re: My Epi Dot 335 wih bad sound

Yes, welcome.

I agree, put the Slash in the bridge - a little more output and mids. The regular A2P in the neck.

Re: My Epi Dot 335 wih bad sound

That sounds like a cool guitar. I certainy would put the Slash in the bridge, too. When you get it all put together, come back and let us know how it sounds (and pics would be great, too).

Of course, when i finish my project i inform you . If i have some problem with wireing a inform you too.
All the best.

From what I can tell you have the APH-2S where the "S" means set.

Put the bridge pickup in the bridge and the neck pickup in the neck.

I seriously doubt there is an APH-1n in the mix.

What??

He said he is buying the Slash AND the A2P, not the Slash set. He just wanted to know which of those to put in the neck and bridge.

Did I miss something?

Re: My Epi Dot 335 wih bad sound

Exactly: APH-2b and APH-2n.

The weaker APH-1n could be a good idea in the neck of a semi-hollow body; I don't know. There are at least as many opinions as there are options.

Re: My Epi Dot 335 wih bad sound

My GURU family i have another question.
Old pickup frames on Dot 335, is it OK for new Seymour Duncan set?
if you continue with the good answers I will have to organize a gig in Croatia :).
Thanks a lot.

Here you've got two local to you p'up winders that offer top-notch quality and tone, that I can personally vouch for.

Aleksandar prices are quite high, Leslie is much more affordable. However, maybe you can be able to work a sweet deal with one of them, being local? I'd say it's worth a shot. ;)

This is sound advice. The APH-1 is a great sound in a semi-hollowbody. I've done it several times.
