My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

What's up guys?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MESE:IT&viewitem=&item=130063264615&rd=1&rd=1

So my Epi LP is on eBay. It's starting at $400. That seems expensive, I realize. But I've put so much money into it (including installation, which is a b***h), that I can't hope to make my money back. Epi's have poor resale value.

In short, I bought it for around $300, and put like $500 of work into it. It sounds and plays amazing (CC/A2P, Bada Bing wiring kit, new tuners, HSC, new nut/bridge/stoppiece, straplocks, custom everything). I realized though that since I bought my Gibson, I haven't picked it up once. I can't see that trend changing. So I really don't want to sell it, but I should. And today was 15 cent day on eBay, so someone is going to get VERY lucky.

So this guitar is worth much more than $400 (literally and sonically), but I've gotta be realistic. Anyways, please, someone snatch it up! I need the money because I'm flying out of state three times in the next 5 months, and that's not cheap! Here's a pic. Help a bro out!

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

looks like a really nice Epi LP you have there.
good luck on the sale man. if people know the true value of the work you put in then u might be able to get a good price on it.

once again good luck and cheers :beerchug:

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

For a case of your finest beer, I will buy it and resell it to a friend for twice as much.

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Definitely looks good and sounds good on paper, but you might want to post more pics in the listing. People love to see every little detail, especially when they're dropping several hundred on a guitar online.

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Thanks dude. I said somewhere in there I'm posting more pics. I just don't have them yet. But yeah, more pics for sure.

Thanks Ken and Beer$. Beer, if you're serious you can for sure bid. I doubt you're serious though. :)

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

...sorry, I missed out on your original gibson post...

but why not tear all the better stuff out of the Epi, and put the stock **** back in?

You'll get your money's worth better... if you want you can even put all that stuff in the gibson ;)

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

I thought about that. But I gotta install the stuff back in! Another $75 at least gone. I just wanna unload it. The pups I can't use in the Gibby, because they're not cream. So I would have to sell them off. If I sold them, I'd get $100 or so. A Epi LP in Ebony (the least desirable color to most people, although mine with all the custom stuff looks badass) fetches $250 or so on eBay used. The HSC would get $50. That's $300, plus the pups is $400. Minus installation is around $325 or so. So if I can get the $400 I'm asking (already have a few watchers) then everybody wins. I think I might get the $400.

Also, I can still sell all the old Epi parts (I have almost all of them obviously). I can sell them all and make another $20 or so.

Lastly, the tuners (an easy way to make $50 or so if I parted them out) have to go with the guitar because we had to bore the holes out (Epi Kluson tuners are smaller than Schallers).

Thanks a lot though dangly! I know you don't like LPs, so it was a welcome surprise to ehar from you. :)

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Looks good man, but if you want to sell it you really need to get a better and MORE pictures on that auction pronto. If I were a buyer I would have a hard time with just that one pic.

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Save yourself some money and link to Photobucket or Webshots folder, that way you can take a million pictures but only pay for the one. I'm not sure this is within the rules, but I do it with all my auctions.

They take enough of our hard earned money!

Absolutely!! Always use a hosted pic site and just code the auction yourself.

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Pics are added. Hopefully the pics are decent. If anyone wants a pic of something specific, please ask!

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Guitar looks great! I'm gonna keep an eye on that auction!

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Kac, I should have posted this earlier. I'm waiting on payment, but I think I have a deal with a dude from the forums here. I'm not going to close the eBay auction until I get payment, and I'm not going to say any details until that happens, but I should be recieving payment within the next 24 hours or so.

Sorry dude!

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

Thanks Andrew!

Hope you can put the money to good use, sorry you had to give up one of your fav axes!... (well, a little bit sorry at least!)

Rest assured that it's going to a good home!

Cheers
Jim

Re: My Epi LP on eBay. Look at least, please!

The money is going to be invested for 2 months, and then used to pay for my three trips out of state (mostly for hotels, which add up quickly - $50 a night for 10 nights... *sigh*).

Thanks dude!
