I had the same thing happen with my matte black EC1000, where my pick hard rested and where my fingers would brush the volume knob. I liked it though.
I've toyed with the idea of getting one, but I can't find a real-deal ESP Viper around here to try out. How do they compare to an SG? I'd imagine it would be a similar comparison to a Les Paul vs. Eclipse i.e. a little thinner, lighter, more modern.
