Theoide came by today and he installed Phat Cats in my Washburn hollowbody. Man this is truly amazing sounding guitar.

Have you felt that humbuckers don't have the enough character and dynamic? Have you felt singlecoils sound too thin and ice-picky? If so, please try phat cat. Also, if you have hollowbody and want to cover blues to classic rock, you should try phat cat.

This washburn is made in Korea but with phat cat it's processional grade.

Very nice. I love natural flame maple :32: . I have been wanting to try a phat cat in the neck position, paired with a hot bucker in the bridge. Opinions from people who have done this?

Phat cat bridge is also great rock'n'roll pickup. Think about classic aerosmith.

I have 10+ guitars. I have a great strat with antiquity surfers, awesome tele with JD and APS2, 52 RI tele, LP with PG. I have played enough to know each of my guitars very well. This Washburn with phat cats is no joke. I feel like I hit the jackpot.

alright. I take back all the things I said about phat cats looking crappy They really do fit that guitar... especially in gold with the black rings. But they would look like crap in anything styled more closely to an Ibanez than an LP IMO. But then again... my schecter kind of looks like crap anyways (toggle switches, gold "pinstriping" so...

Maybe I should bump the DD into the Paul, and fill the hole I create somehow

I was surprised at how well it sounded. I knew it would sound good but, they are like butter!!! After I installed them, Brisk couldnt put down the guitar. He looked like a little Korean kid at christmas time!!!!!! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
