My first country song... take it easy on me...

Wrote and recorded my first country song today.

Used my Godin, My strat, My Mesa and my voice. It's not 100% done yet. Still gonna put some bass guitar on it, but please check it out and let me know what ya think.

Take it easy on me though because I've never played anything country associated at all before.

Recored on my macbook with garageband.

The song "Boxes"? Sounds a bit like Dylan. Coutry isn't my genre at all but I like the song actually.

I like your playing, doesn't really sound country to me but then I don't know what country is so much.
I'd prefer your lead tone to be a LOT thicker, it sounds a bit strained. Oh wait, it gets a lot better at about 1:50, I like that tone now!

Not bad at all - I find it really hard to listen to something like that without wanting to hear a huge, fat, metal solo over it!
I like the lyrics, and your vocals kinda make me think of Scott Ian of Anthrax although he has a harder voice.

It's cool!

thanks bro. Yeah I don't really know if it is country either... I'm not familiar with the genre, but I was challenged to make a country song, and that was my first attempt.
