My first "guest" gtr solo...

Phantasmagoria

watch where you point that sabre
Been pretty busy with stuff off late..new songs/practice/a couple of gigs we had recently & working on the layout/sleeve for my goregrind album that's due out early next year..

..also my band's drummer asked me to do a 15 second guest solo for the other band he's in (sludge/grindcore) and sent me a rough mix of the song. They have an MCD out early next year too. Wanted me to do something racy with my tapping (and some whammy!) ..so that's what I did :D

Never been asked before haha ..so that was cool :bigthumb:

DI out from my AMT Stonehead...no double tracking or FX (He wanted to pan it/add FX as he thought fit..). Gtr's my Ibby S7420 Sabre. (They tune to A standard :p...so I thought I'd better go with my 7-stringer :laugh2:). Amp Eq was pretty flat (everything roughly @ 12 0'clock) but I cranked my presence knob to cut through & it sounds nice I think .. should do that more often!

Re: My first "guest" gtr solo...

Heh, that was fun. And way shorter than your usual 40 minute long jams! :D

Thanks! Yeah ...had to shave a bit off for this one :laugh2:

wild solo & sick drummer

Thanks man! Yeah, he's awesome, he can blast like a maniac but does the whole feel/Bill Ward type thing just as well ..fusion, prog anything. Dude was sixteen when he first jammed with us 10+ years ago....& he's been playing with us (bunch of 40-45 yr old farts :p) for the last five.

Cool. I'm envisioning Steve Vai falling down a flight of stairs. :D

haha thanks! He'd probably sound way cooler doing that though :lmao:
