Alright guys I got this on thursday but have been so busy playing it I havent told you!

CAB: JCM800 1960B lead
HEAD: AVT150h

I got it used off a dude, I origionallyo nly wanted the cab but he wouldnt go sepraate but man this head kicks ass too! (I had an avt20 combo beofre this) Heres some pics!!! I'll get some clips up soon.

Also I have my first gig today (just in time!) So I'm super pumped and expec a review and pics of that.

Yep, hybrid with a single 12AX7 unless I'm mistaken.

Hope you enjoy that head, I was never a fan on the AVT stuff.

Score! Those JCM 800 cabs sound just a little better than the 900's. Must be because they have only 1 single input jack instead of a tone sucking stereo/mono switch.
I've got a JCM800 cab too, picked it from 4 cabs the other ones were all 900's. The 800 sounded more alive.

I find it strange that the cab is rated at 8 ohms? I thought all marshalls were 16? Do you know what speakers are in there? Also the speaker cloth looks brown, this is no normal 800 you have there. I'd go and see if there aren't any Vintage 30 or greenbacks in there coincidentally!

If you really want go improve your sound further into the future you could consider to go all tube. If you sell both the head and combo you will have plenty of cash for a nice used marshall JCM900 head!

Sure was, still might get it in the summer too!

Yeah I havent seen much cloth like this, I'm goign to open it up next weekend and see... its special

Tonight it kicked some major ass tho dude, my tone was sweet if I do say so myself

It's hard to beat those Marshall 4x12 cabs for the cash. I'm sure that one is killer! If you ever want to go for the JCM 900 SL-X, you know it'll sound amazing with it.

Cool lookin rig. Those straight 4-12's really crank out the low end! There's nothing wrong with the AVT150 either, since you can dial up some good tones if you know how to set it. Try using it in tandem with an OD pedal, and you can get even more out of it. A tube Marshall is nice, but in your house, you'll get a lot more out of that rig. And it's not like it has a lack of power either.

I only use it for band practises at my house and gigs

To be honest this thing has more gain then I'll ever use, I play mostly metal but I hate to play through an over distorted amp.

As for the gig........ most amazing experience ever! I got some pics and a vid I'll post when they are sent to me but wow, cant wait to go out and kick some ass again!
