My first song post...

Well, I've been on the forum for a while, and I decided I might as well post somthing.

This is a song I wrote a few years back, so its a bit different from my current stuff. I recorded it a little while ago, but something happened and all the tracks didn't align anymore...had to re-arrange the whole track. But...I think Its mostly right.

Edit: The drums are kind of irritating. I'm no drummer, and only have reason to program with. I'm gonna start having my drummer program stuff for me to record demos with though ;-).

Hey man..sounds pretty damn good to me! (though I agree the drums are not quite right....more "space" is needed..geez even Computer drummers are always overplaying )

I really liked the clean tones...excellent job.

I like your musical ideas and playing. It sounds pro level. I hear ya about the drum hassles we have to go through, dealing with drum machines and programs.
Cranking out clips would be no problem if I had a real drummer with a kit miced up at my disposal. Playing guitar is the easy part....dealing with programming beats and measures is the hard part.

Overall, good stuff. The right singer on it is all it needs for a demo quality offering.

Lol, yeah, theres only so much I can do with my computer. Luckly though, my drummer is pretty computer savvy, so he's gonna start programing beats for the rough demos I'm doin. When we get around to the real recording, we'll use him of course .

Been workin on layin down the vocal trax here for about three hours...bout halfway done. lol.

I've had a little training as a singer, but I've always gotta keep myself in check, I fall into old bad habits pretty easily. I'll post the vocal version as soon as its done.

Edit: Heh, make that 0% done. I really gotta pratice singing a bit more...

Dude, all I have to say is....Great Job! What I liked most about it, is that it's very well layed out and put together. You are using the Krank right? It has the sound of one. Anyways, Great job!

Nah, I gotta do these demos in the wee hours of the night when angry neighbors would knock on my door with shotguns if I used my KRANK.

I was actually usin my Line 6 POD 2.0, I think it was the rectifier setting, though it could have been the soldano setting. I switched between the two pretty often. Put on a sonic maximizer and it came pretty close.

I got my XT now though, loaded up with all the model packs. As soon as my drummer gets his drum programming software, me and him are gonna krank out a few more demos.

Hahaha, ya I understand. I find myself using my pod more than my regular set up. I use those settings and the insane also. If I want clean I just pick up the old Yamaha acoustic. I have never used a sonic though. Anyways, nice job man.
