My latest Beast could have been FABULOUS!

King Midas to Cheap Guitars
In my haste I forgot to sand these two bodies with a rough sanding sponge before hitting them with the stripper, so it looks like I'll have to do two applications of the stripper. I did see something out of the ordinary though.

Here's a Warlock that will be stripped and finished naturally. You can see where the stripper took it down to the wood/sanding sealer in some spots with one application:

Here's the Beast that I was stripping at the same time. For whatever reason, it was pink underneath the black:

I mean, REALLY pink. Look at the dark pink paint that's on the other side of the scraped up black paint chips. Bizarre.

Not the best staining job, but that's what Minwax does I guess. :D That and I really don't have much free time these days, so I just tried to get it done and said "good enough for me".

Pickup is a GFS Crunchy Pat with a *triple* thick ceramic. It was the thickest humbucker magnet I've ever seen, I pulled it from some junk import stock pickup. Added even more power to a good sounding pickup, this thing cuts through nicely.

I just noticed, if you turn it so the neck is upward it would resemble South Park Satan's silhouette.

it looks decent, but that pink looks like it could have been pretty awesome too.
