i'm not a huge fan of metal nor have i tried a rectifier but it looks nice and i've heard great things about them...

Well, looks sweet, but if you ask me Marshall cab would make it more of TOTAL METAL rig. Like mua for example, Invader humbucked Strat through Vai Bad Hoarsie I into TS9 reissue(moded by STRUTDELUXER) to Laney Pro-Tube AOR with JCM900 1960A cab. Don't get me wrong Mesa is VERY METAL but MESA cab is a little toward nu-metal, otherwise it is lava-aproved. Schecter is very nice, something tells me tells it might have that Glenn Tipton touch to it tone wise.
