Hi,

This is my LTD KH-330 with my mods. Now, it looks much better than "boring black", what do you say?

Pickups? Well, wound by me :)

other than the haphazard stringing at the headstock, it looks great! all black is ok, but this definitely pops more. tell me more about the pups you wound and put in

My thoughts exactly! Clip those strings, my man!

Other than that, looks cool! I dig all-black guitars, but I like the color scheme you got going on too.

Thanks :) I know, i realised when it is almost completed. Next time changing the strings, they will appear better. And pickups. Well, it was challanging to me. At first my aim was to copy Jazz/JB duo. For neck, while winding i turn some more wire and in the end and what i got was 7,99K and 3,82H neck humbucker. Pretty clear considering the dcr value. For bridge, the opposite, i wound little less then JB. And i broke the coil 2 times and it was horrible :) In the end what i got is 15,93K and 7,28H bridge humbucker.

I charged the neck pickups magnet almost half. Normally it should be over 300G (on the hb top) with full charge for A5. But i charged less, very similar to the humbuckers with A2 magnet within) 250G screw, 260G slug coil. For bridge, it is halfway between a half and full; 280G screw, 300G slug coil. In the regular JBs and TB-4s i read over 350G. I dont know, it worked as far as i hear :)

I do like contrasting that boring black :) Just like how Alex Skolnick, Steve Vai or some other guys did in the early 90s :)

Looks hot. I'd rock that.

Thank you so very much.

Love the looks! Questions:
- Are A and D intonated properly?
- What Ibanez model is that?

Photos taken before intonation but as far as i remember i didn't adjust the saddles dramatically. And this is my humble RG570 from 1991. Its trem is still perfect and has now dimarzio/ibz pickups.

Enjoy them all in good health! Here's my 550 w/ BW bridge and Jazz neck, so I totally get the pink. I'm resigned I'll never be able to wind my own pickups, good on you for doing it :)

I'm in love with those classic ibby guitars but i can't stand with wizard necks. I prefer chunky necks, i don't feel right with those skinny profiles

very cool. how are you winding? how did you charge the magnets?

I have a winding machine that one of my colligues built for me. A few electronic parts, slight knowledge on arduino, lots of 3D printing :) I'v bought all parts from Ali Express. For charging/decharging i use two neodymium magnets. Always use a gaussmeter while doing that.

gotcha. my winder is pretty basic, a motor to spin the bobbin and a counter for turns, hand guided wire.
