I posted a "thread of happiness" ;) in July when I had ordered my new acoustic a Martin DX1R Dreadnought.

I also promised some pics and a full review. Well, to be honest I haven't posted/written anything because of laziness but on the other hand I also decided that it might be wise to wait a couple of month's before writing the review, that way wouldn't be affected by the "honeymoon" :D

So 4 months into owning the DX1R, here's the review: LINKY

Re: My Martin DX1R Acoustic Review

I have a Martin DX1R, too. Installed a Fishman Natural II Piezo pickup, security locks and it's just great! :bigthumb:

Re: My Martin DX1R Acoustic Review

nice, well written review on the DX1R. My mom almost bought one for herself, but was eeped by the modern non-entire woods used in it. I for one though like it a lot more than the takamine she went with... something about martins just make them all haul. FWIW though, they're probably some of the best bangs for the buck though

Re: My Martin DX1R Acoustic Review

Thanks guys!

It has a really great price-quality ratio... but it seems like many people don't consider it an alternative as it's not all traditional materials. But as I pointed out in the review, it's actually a neat thing if you want to have a guitar that isn't too picky about humidity.
