Re: my name is Curly ...

that is the most beautiful guitar i have seen in a long time! what's it made out of? i have never heard tv trons (right those are the p'ups). should sound as good as it looks!

Re: my name is Curly ...

That thing is going to be sweet as hell with a Bigsby on it. What color hardware are you going with? That color + Gold hardware = sex!

i'd say nickel dude

Re: my name is Curly ...

thanks for your kind comments ...
I'm not a fancy guitar lover ... I actually wanted a plain top, but Tommy said he had some neat maple, and I always trust his judgement ....

the hardware is nickel ... I don't usually like gold, and it would be over the top on this project, IMO. I am using gold hardware on my S-Tron project, which has a plainer 2 color 'burst.

anyway ... although a T with a Bigsby is nothing new, this project started as an idea one night, then a quick sketch in the Virtual Guitar program the next morning. Originally, it was going to be Gretsch Orange, but I looked at some of Roxy's gallery and changed my mind.

this one has been a lot of fun to plan - even my luthier said he can't wait to play it.

Peace

thanks, Scott
that's a nice compliment coming from you ...

I enjoy visualizing projects, and doing the specs, but I have to give all the credit to my supplier for the results. as much as I enjoy it, I'm not sure I'd succeed at it as a business, but you're not the only one to suggest it. :)

I have spent a fair amount of time and $$$ learning from doing several projects now, though.

Re: my name is Curly ...

so you're making a telegretsch?

nice, combining my 2 favorite kinds of guitars

i think we both still need a real 6120 though

Re: my name is Curly ...

I agree I think the gold would be too much brightness, not enough contrast. The nickel should look good, but may I suggest black hardware? :reporter:

Re: my name is Curly ...

very nice curly ... let us know how it all goes together ... enjoy, friend
cheers
