It's a 51-minute long concept piece based on the early poems of Edgar Allen Poe ... what makes you think it's proggy lol? =p

Well I am actually listening to side two while I am down here on the desktop, and 5 or 6 minutes in, we have gone from Pet Sounds, to Moria, to Yes.

When we were tracking the vocals for the 'bop bop da da bop' section, I joked with Gary, "Something you don't hear much at recording sessions today: Dial up the Shirley Partridge!" :)*




* In all seriousness, though, I was and still am a sizable Wes Farrell devotee as well as a fan of the first 2 Seasons of the Partridge Family. I actually have a decent PF memorabilia collection including the (awful) mystery books and UK fan club David Cassidy Annuals. Yes, I have a diseased mind and songs like Echo Valley 26809 hold as big a place in my influences as the Necromancer by Rush. :)
