IN ALL SERIOUSNESS. Remember how long it took me to find the sound I was looking for that I found in the Vibrolux??? I said that the Lux was my main amp. As long as I have something Blackface and Tweed in my arsenal I am good. All others are subject to Sudden Sell Syndrome!!! Now the Celtic was sold ONLY, I repeat ONLY to get another amp like it from Scott that would be a bit louder. So the way I see it i did not get rid of the Celtic. I am only upgrading it.
You guys better leave me alone before i switch my amps into world domination mode and kill you all with a power chord!! LOL :chairfall:

We had a saying in the pharmaceutical world back when I was a rep selling a codeine product (Fiorinal #3)... "an addicted customer is a happy customer is a loyal customer" (honestly heard that a few times around the companies main offices!)

I will go out on a huge limb and say that this bad Kitty smokes the Dr. Z for the sound I have been hearing in my head. Now don't get me wrong the Z's stuff is still killer. The Kitty is just a little meaner in a good way. Not all EL84 amps are created equally. The Z stuff rocks and at least the Cub II rocks.

Scott you know I love ya bro. And i know from 1st hand experience that your amps rock, but this Badcat's got alot more going for it than a PT. I know that PT can make or break an amp, but this guy has some seriou mojo that i just haven't heard from another EL 84 amp that I have played thus far.

Speaking of EL84 amps. I'm going to have to get some better tubes for mine.
I was playing it yesterday at high volumes (Higher than the amp should really go) and I was getting more drive from the power section than the pre-amp section.
It left me saying... Who needs a lead channel.
I think I needs me some harder tubes.

Do they still have the contacts @ Tempel Steel? At my place of employment, we have regular dealings with these folks (@ Tempel), as we make testing equipment for the steel industry. Digression....Tempel Steel is known for their superior magnetic steel. That makes a hell of a difference in X-formers!I'm betting a lot of what you are hearing are the transformers used. Bad Cat uses some really heavy iron, well-made stuff. (oh yeah, same ones I use in my EL84 amps)
