HAS A GODDAMN BROKEN 5-WAY SWITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

1200 dollars, a month late, and I am SOOOOOO irritated. I'm makin em send me a replacement switch.

Besides that, she's a damn beauty, plays like a dream, but shorts out the neck and middle pickups to ground.

I'm takin photos right now, I'll post em soon.

its the same model he uses, cept it doesnt have his signature T-mac VII logo on the headstock. He's the main reason why i got it. :rolleyes:

I just had to learn that arpeggio riff in ataraxia...

so far that's two bum carvin' for this forum (xeromus)...uh oh...but at least it was little stuff and no big deal. get some pics!!! and enjoy it!!

K, here's some pictures...wish i had some sunlight for this but...oh well.

This is all four of the electric guitars I have put together right now. First one's my EBMM with the JB bridge pickup, second is the new carvin, third is my custom strat (wilkinson 6-point trem, locking tuners, screamin demon), and the fourth is my Ibanez ax220qm, which I use for open C tuning, with a duncan C5 in the bridge. The ibanez is missing its tone controls right now cause one of the tone pots was fried (never using a soldering gun for wiring a guitar again EVER), and I was too lazy to go out and buy a new one.

Here's the body of the guitar...koa top on a mahogony body...light figuring...ooh damn koa is a cool wood...

Inlays...beautiful...and my own personal customization, an engraved truss rod cover that says "the menace". thats right, I'm hardcore. :laugh2:

And...of course...my custom UGD pickup, custom/59 hybrid, one coil allen head screws and one coil regular slot-head. I'll put that in as soon as i get my GODDAMNED REPLACEMENT SWITCH!!!!!GAHHHHH!!!!!

yeah what I've found is that carvin makes damn fine guitars, but their electronics and pickups are complete crap. Just swap out the electronics and you have a world class axe. I can't complain too much for the quality they offer at the price they do. Besides, it's more important that the guitar is built correctly. Electronics can be changed at any time.

I hear ya bro...those pups are goin out as soon as I can afford to replace em. only problem though, aint nobody but dimarzio makes 7 string single coils. Guess I might have to go custom shop.

I really like some of those Carvins. It's nice how you can get all the custom options for a non-custom price, but still to expensive for me.

Almost was for me too, I ended up gettin this one with money I got from selling my drumset and bass amp (I'm a guitarist, dammit).

The bobbins are black, not chrome. I cant wait to get that P'up in there!!!

F***ing five way switch....

great. now one of the locknut allen head screws has snapped in half. just...completely, seperated head from the screw. It was barely even finger-tight, and the thing just snaps off. This is really starting to piss me off.
