My new Hot Rodded Ibanez is home!!

I just recently brought my new Ibanez home from Parkway Music (Clifton Park N.Y.) and so far am very happy with my decision. I bought a SA160 ash body, which has a very nice sunburst finish and made major upgrades. I put a DiMarzio HS3 stack in the neck, a Virtual Vintage Blues in the middle, and a Virtual PAF in the neck. I had coil taps put on both controls and rewired the 5 way switch to give me a total of 9 different pickup combinations. I had the plastic nut replaced with a graphite nut, and replaced the stock tuners with Sperzel locking tuners. All totalled, I spent a little over $700 to get a guitar that had exactly the features I wanted. This baby absolutely screams. I run it through a Fender Cyber-Deluxe using a Tube Screamer for the overdrive. I'm going to post pics soon.

please do! the SA160 at my dealer's still the non-ash version, that prevented me from acquiring it...

My Ibanez SA160QM is a screamer too! Great guitars for the $$$. Mine has Blue Velvets and a Super Distortion. Uber classic tone :) How's that HS-3? I have an HS-2 in my SX and it's a REALLY nice sounding pup. I can see why Eric Johnson uses it.

The HS3 is really articulate sounding. It's supposed to be a HS2 with the top end rolled back a little, which is why I got it. I was afraid that it might be a litle to bright put into an ash body guitar. It also sounds a little bit clearer when it's tapped.
