thats actually a good point... pull the magnet if you dont use the pup. i love my esquire and i think part of the magic is not having as much string pull

Ha ha nope, It's a Gibson Burstbucker 2 in the neck.
I have never heard of mag pull from the other pickup as being a thing before.
Interesting indeed. I will investigate.

Actually, I hate those old vintage-style tuners on Gibsons.

I like the looks of those, personally. Maybe not on Studios, but on more vintage-y looking LP's like Standards. And that they're lightweight. But yeah, some of them, functionally, aren't all that great.
