My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

I spent some time wiring up my new custom pumaboard pedalboard today and i'm BEYOND happy. Kevin at www.pumaboards.com was great to deal with and let me send him my own fuzzy leopard material that matches the inside of my Clone guitars cases to use on he board. he did a KILLER job building this board, the build quality is second to NONE. i've seen trailer trash boards and i'd take a pumaboard over them any day (which i did). i had him build me the biggest board he makes at 36x15. on the left side it has 3 nuetrik locking jacks a pair for the FX loop send and return and one for the input of the amp. on the righ side it has a power plug that takes any extension cord to power the pedal power II+ which is mounted safe and neat under the board. the whole top of the board is covered in a material that is like the soft side of velcro so on the bottom of all the pedals i put the hook side and i could put the pedals anywhere i want and move them if needed. i chose to wire mine real neat all through the board using george Ls so you don't see any wires all over the place.

the signal chain goes...

guitar...tu2...oc2...whammy...morley wah...tube zone OD...MXR flanger...bullseye script phaser...ISP....amp input

in the loop are the DL4 delay and my custom "hot rod" delay.

the tube zone can be swapped out for my bad monkey or Rat Fink (rat clone) but i LOVE that tube zone so i don't think it will move off the board much if ever to be honest.

everything worked perfect right off the bat with no odd noises or anything like that....and it sounds killer!

i'm beyond happy now and can't thank Kevin at pumaboards enough for his kick ass work on one crazy board!

oh and yes it's leopard print and fuzzy and yes i may be nuts LOL...but i love it!

You are just one bad ass MO FO !!!!

:D

Very nice :beerchug:

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

That does look nice. I really like the idea of the neutrik plugs - nice touch.

Does it have a lid? I checked the site and I don't recall seeing any mention of this.

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

Everything looks amazing. Those Tube Zones have piqued my interest too.

One thing I noticed about the pumaboards......Don't they have a lid?

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

thanks guys, i know it's crazy but it wouldn't be mine if it looked like all the rest hahaha.

there is no lid for the board. Kevin at pumaboards only does boards but he has links on his site to places that can custom make hard cases or soft caes to fit his boards. sadly since i'm not playing out right now i don't need a case but when the time comes i'll have one made for it. no big deal IMO since that way i have the choice of a soft case or hard case.

GJ...find a tube zone and try it...hell just buy the thing it kicks so much ass it's not even funny. it goes from just a touch of boost on a clean channel to all out metal with no problem. it's like a hybrid pedal i guess you can say part OD part distortion when you start turning knobs. your typical OD pedal doesn't have this much gain on tap...at least none that i've tried. it has TONS of good sounds in it for several styles of music that's for sure not just high gain stuff.

sweetness. your board always makes me regret selling my Whammy

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

thanks guys!

man i'd be lost without that whammy and the OC2....ok not lost but guitar just wouldn't be as fun without octave abuse lol.

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

How'd I know it was going to match the inside of your Clone cases? :laugh2: That looks cool, Mike. It definitely suits you. :D

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

Looks like you could use a pedal snake. Makes setup and tear down much easier (yeah, I know you're not gigging). :)

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

Congrats on a very neat board !

By neat, i mean both very nice looking (looks classy) and un-cluttered/no skimping on the smaller details !

Hope my board will look something simmilar to yours in the, not-so-far-future !

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

Oh man, you HAVE to post that on the Gear Page, I know people would flip out. That looks sweet! :fing2:

P.S. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who still believes in George L/ Bill Lawrence cables. ;)

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

Erik...hell yeah it had to match the cases lol.

aleclee...i thought about the snake but i just have the 3 cables in one end that i zip tie into one group and a power cable in the other so it's no big deal.

SirJackdeFuzz...thanks for the kind words...i'm all about the details!!

Chris...Kevin at pumaboards asked me to post it there so i think i will for him since he was so cool. i don't post there much but i read the posts a lot. perhaps i'll join in a bit more there.

as for the george l's i gave them one last shot since i had problems with them the last two times and this time they worked perfectly so i'm cool with them now!

DIZZAM! That looks great, Mike! I definitely dig the leopard material. Did you have to drill your own holes to get the George Ls and PP2 cables running underneath?

Every time I see a neat and clean pedal board like that, it makes me want to get a new one and set it up all nice-like.

Re: My new pedalboard (Pumaboard) is done....

thanks! yeah i had to drill all the holes for the power and george l's....real easy. i hate seeing wires so the nice clean look with the hidden PP II+ was the only option for me.
