My new Start Neck

This is a deal that's beyond sick..its sadistic.

Obviously there a upside to being a derelict with no life. I literally had to scour ebay for probably a hundred+ hours to find this deal..no big deal i guess, its about the only life i know..BUT, I snatched this as a new listing off ebay. AN original earliest production 'Boogie Bodie's/ Warmoth Brazillian Rosewood neck .Neck is stable, truss rod works, but needs leveling for a few high frets beyond the 12th. Right here you see it mounted on a Mahogany Strat [ a decent Warmoth body for sure, but the body does not deserve this neck]..this neck will be stored till I find the right old body for it, then I will install a set of original Custom Shop '65's I have to try and grab some of the early "Experience" tone.

Ready for the price I paid? ..well, it was a bit over $150!, but I made him give me 25 bucks back cause the frets needed leveling, which they do, and he said the neck was fine- its just a business model I adhere to and would also honor if I sold something.

Anyhow, I would not sell this neck for even 4 hundred bucks.Luckily I can level the frets myself I'm pretty certain.
One I find the right body for this- and it will probably cost me at least $500 bucks IF I get lucky, I'll have the closest thing to a vintage St5rat tone-wise..

Re: My new Start Neck

That is perhaps the best Brazillian rosewood deal the world has ever known. Nice score.

That's a special find Gerry, DONT scrimp on a body... Get something that will make it all the more special. If I had that I just would not rush anything and get the best parts possible.
