My nut has gone missing... I must have "stuck" it somewhere

I had sanded down a graphtech nut too far and was getting some string buzz. So I was in the process of building it back up with layers of superglue gel.

I put on another coat and left it in the same place on my desk that I had been doing. When I went to check on it drying, it is GONE. I must have inadvertantly placed something on it that it stuck too.

I am looking everywhere for it to a point of insanity. Oh well I'm sure it will show up somewhere in 3 or 4 months.

Just thought I'd share one of everyday life's crazy anecdotes :laugh2:

^^ LOL. Funnily enough, more often than not things like this magically find their way onto your clothing, then go into a stealth mode that only allows whoever you´re taking out to dinner to see it..... You may want to take a look before that hot date tonight, or have her take a look in which case I recommend chosing your words VERY carefully. "Hey, can you help me look for my nut?" would probably not be a wise first choice.:laugh2:

Hahahah, oh man. I know exactly what you mean. One of my floyd rose string blocks disappeared once. I was changing the strings one at a time as usual when I notice the B string bolt is taking a lot of turns to lock. Spent days looking for it all around the room. I couldn't explain wtf happened to the thing and that was driving me crazy.

Found it a couple months later stuck on the sleeve of the sweater I was wearing that day and then it hit me, just after I took out the B string I pulled the sleeve over my wrist and cleaned the dust off the floyd. I facepalmed so hard...

its the repetition of setting it in the same place
you think you set it in the same place cause you remember setting
it there before

but you have in fact set it three inches over and it is currently still there
in plain sight but you mind keeps lookin over it
