My pot makes noise when I roll volume and tone.

My guitar has active pickups. should I change the batteries? or is it the pots? please help its annoying.

Just spray a tiny bit of contact cleaner into the potentiometer, and turn it back and forth a few times. Works for me.

Usually, that crackling is caused by one of two things:

1) a dirty pot: cured with application of electrical contact cleaner as described above.

2) a worn out potentiometer: This is much more rare, but replacing the pot with a new one will cure that.
