My pup lost a foot! Help!

I bought a double creme Custom (yes it had a cover), but one foot is brocken off and lost! What can i do? Where to get a new baseplate (with the logo on) or can i make a flat foot out of it.
I thought about sawing off the intact foot and bending flat the leg. Then i can weld the sawn off foot to the lost side. Did anybody do this?

It will probably be easier to send the pickup back to SD for a new baseplate unless someone has a spare that they will send you.

There are probably several different ways you could repair that baseplate, it all depends on how creative you are.

I'd find a piece of thick sheet metal, bend it into an L shape, and solder it to the broken leg. Before doing it, I'd drill a small hole in the leg, and use a spare bolt to drive some threading into it.

Even better than duct tape, go to your local auto parts store and buy some "JB Weld". If you ever want something afro engineered this stuff is the king!!!!! I like the "JB Quick" myself due to my lack of patience!

is that like that quick cure 2 part epoxy gunk you use to repair bits of the car after the wife has tried to back it into the garage?
