Re: my rig - pics

How'd that blues driver work out for ya bnr87 ?

I know it's :offtopic: do forgive.

I like your amps though.

Re: my rig - pics

i havent had the time to troubleshoot it yet. i made the mods, and got no sound. i have an extremely busy week, then im off to wyoming for a ski vacation. once i get back im gonna trouble shoot it, and if that doesnt work, return it to stock and do it over, 1 part at a time....

Thats a pretty cool bass. Never seen that one before. Cool body and headstock shape.
I have a Eko bass from the 70s - it plays much better than any mexican fender bass.

Thats a cool crate amp too. Is that a solid state amp?

Re: my rig - pics

no its a tube. its 4X12ax7 and 4Xel84. its the first generation vintage club 30 (i think?). the best way to describe it really is fender cleans and marshall crunch, ask anyone who owns one (afew guys here have 50 watt or later versions, i think one is for sale on the trading post) i read somewhere basically crate took a vox ac30 tube/speaker (alnico) layout, made the clean channel a copy of an early fender, and made the gain channel a copy of marshal plexi or similar, added spring reverb (ithink?), effects loop, and sold it. later models have onboard effects. though i like mine the way it is

the bass, well brownsville around here is the samash in store brand (made in china). for 100 bucks, i couldnt resist, good looks especially the headstock, decent tone (that can be fixed somewhat), and it *remarable* stays in tune and is nearly perfectly intonated, and it plays super well. Im assuming the body and neck are made out of sawdust or its gonna fall apart in a month, because it almost seems to good to be true.

yearh, also own a Crate VC3112 (30 Watt, 1x12"). Great cheap amp. Favored it over Fender Twin Amp and 20th Annyversary Marshall when I bought it - and never regret.
This sweet monster blew away complete miked BigBand.
