pretty beat up- can live with that, but has a twisted neck. Moderate twist where the low string side is raised and the treble string side is flatter ( don't flatter me). D string buzzes, and for my style of low action, the twist oisn't conduscive to my playing style., Of course the guy denies there is a twist. Thats pretty much a given, he knows, I'd bet a dollars to donuts.
I wrote the guy and he doesnt want to do any compensation dollar-wise. I paid 800.00. It does have the Lollars which are 360.00 new, and it has the RS guitar works harness, which is 149.00 new , and also the original 498t's with the original harness.
Now, I could send it back, which would cost me about 65.00. Or I could install the 498t's, keep the Loallrs and RS harness, and sell the Sg on C-list for 550.00 I think w/o too much problem and keep the case also probably at that price( keep the case).
I do not want an\SG with a twisted neck, plus, like many older sg's like the 60's, this necks are wonky, and chords have a warbling almost out of tune sound.
I figured I'd ask, cause I have lost so many brain cells, I am a basket case, and cannot think for myself anymore, not that I was ever particularly smart to begin with.
Anyway, I would want a $75.00 compensation- I really do not want the guitar with the twist in the neck, but it doesn't look like the guy is going to make any price adjustment. A lot of work for not too much gain to dump the guitar on Craigslist and all that -maybe best just to eat shipping and send it back?
The Lollars and the guitar do sound great, its a playability issue.
