My stupid youtube clip

This was just a test to see what I could put on youtube with my digital camera and what kind of quality the camera's microphone had. It's a little over a minute long, and I'd say I put about a minute and a half's worth of time into it.

This is just mindless farting around on the guitar. It is not a song. It is not in time. I have no idea what scale or mode most of the crap is in.

It's just my Talladega with a Duncan Custom Shop "Brobucker" plugged directly into my Line 6 Flextone III, miked by only the digital camera.

I just wanted to add myself to the endless sea of internet/basement rock stars.

Feel free to comment, critique and offer any and all positive/negative, useful or useless feedback.

Pretty nice Hamer! Doesnt sound bad through the Flextone. I cant tell though what you were playing like if it was 8th, 16th, 32nd notes. Not really flowing. Do you count your notes? Try doing that to make your patterns.

Re: My stupid youtube clip

Dude he said it wasn't in time or anything, he was just testing out the camera. Those are some clean sweeps though...nice playing.

Re: My stupid youtube clip

The clip played good men! But I eq my my PC's speakers system. But the mix was good, clean yet loud.

It's hard getting a good Youtube mix but yours was decent. The high details were heard and not muffled.

Also I assume, your digicam has a condenser mic. To me these bulit in condenser mics get really trebly. i suggest, when recording, roll of the treble a lil tad lower (lower than your typical EQ when playing normally), then raise the mids a bit. as for the bass, well you cant do anything with the bass specially in youtube. (well i have subwoofers so i just cranked those up)

BTW nice Talladega, i'm sure that brobucker is heck of a playa!

cheers!

I counted about 3 notes per beat. There were more than that. I just lost count. :D

The Talladega is an amazing playing guitar and quite the looker. As far as my legs, I've spent a lot of time at the gym squatting. I think they look just fine. But thanks anyway. :D

Re: My stupid youtube clip

I think I heard you play all of "Cliffs of Dover," just not in the original order
