my Tele project (almost there...)

ginormous

Understatmentologist
I've had this rattling around in my head for a while, but it took me a good bit to get all the parts together.
Kind of like that old Johnny Cash song, where he pulls pieces off the assembly line to make his car.

Anyhoos, here's a kisekae mockup of what I have in mind, with some awkward graphics overlaid in MS Paint:

Dream 2 Queen (graphics).jpg

It's a triple P90 with a 5-way superswitch, and custom Fender-style waterslide decals that say "Queen Of Hearts".
It's dedicated to the lady friend.

I'm sure it'll have that "fatter than Strat" sound I'm looking for.

The body I got from a guy on Facebook, who said he could make custom bodies. Dude used bondo instead of wood filler.
He routed for body-through string ferrules (despite my instructions), then slapped on a few pieces of paper and filled that in, again with car body filler.

I have a friend with tools and a workshop. It took ages to sand all that junk off, and do the fill-ins right.
He's been doing the work, since I haven't been firing on all cylinders health wise.

It's a Guitar Fetish maple neck, graphite nut, sapele "rosewood" fingerboard, stainless steel frets.
I'm using a hard tail bridge because I have the partscaster if I need a whammy bar.

The main thing on this, aside from the electronics, the sound and feel, is the graphics.
I want this to be a showpiece. Pretty much all my other guitars are bone stock. I want this to be a little flashy, for her.

Three P-90s in a Tele sounds like a great choice for some very cool tones.

Too bad about your experience with the body. Hope all gets corrected to your satisfaction.

So is it a top-load bridge or string-through body?

Who told you that sapele is rosewood? They are not related at all. Sapele is, however, very closely related to mahogany. Sapele is a little harder and more dense than mahogany and, in my opinion, can be more beautiful when you get a nicely figured piece.

love the concept! sucks about the idiot who made the body, but seems like your buddy got it squared away for ya which is great!

It's a top-loading 6 saddle modern Tele bridge. All the hardware's in black.

Well, of course, like so many, I got some BS from The Store In The Middle Of Stringed Instruments That Shall Not Be Named.
What you're telling me actually works out for me even better. I need something that will stand up to stainless round wounds.
