My Tremolo Shelf

Still an awesome Tremolo song.

Agreed! One of my favorite songs tremolo or not.

Here is my tiny tremolo collection

Do you guys play a lot of gigs at skating rinks? Just wondering.

LOL - I only use a Tremolo live for the Cello Solo in Still of the Night. And I programmed it in my Zoom G3N

That’s a cool song.

My amp has tremolo. That’s what I use. I did once build an EA Tremolo pedal for a friend.

Did you build that EA Tremolo from a kit? BYOC has one and it's pretty cool. Nice to have a volume control!

I also built their Brownface Tremolo kit. That one is a harmonic trem and it's really cool too.

I'm modding their brownface kit right now ironically.

Got it on the breadboard.

Cool!

It was pretty fun and easy to build from the kit. I've read that it is a touchy circuit though. Some people had issues with using LEDs with higher forward voltage than the typical, diffused 5mm LEDs.

Mine worked on first pull and it sounds really good.

I think I did. I bought the PCB. I might have bought the parts as a kit. It was a while ago. I forget.

It also makes a great sounding clean boost.

Know what's a killer trem?

The one found in my '66 Fender Deluxe.

Man, I was in Nashville a few weeks ago and a friend there played me the trem on an old 50s Gibson Gseries amp -and I think it might be the most magical one I've ever heard. Better than my 60s fenders.

I forgot which one but it was a G-15 or 20 or the like , but my buddy (who deals vintage amps) said Gibson amp's trem sounds are all over the place and unique to each amp he gets, unlike Fenders which are consistently awesome.

If I plug my single coil strat straight in to the Tremolo channel with the Trem engaged, instant 50s-60s cowboy movie guitar music atmosphere, you know like those old cowboy movies.

These are both BYOC kit builds.

I also built a Soaring Skillet that does stereo panning. With only one amp connected, it makes for a nice sounding tremolo. I use that a lot on my big electric guitar board.

There is an Earthquaker Devices Night Wire v2 on my bass board too. That thing is super flexible and sounds great. Really impressive pedal.

The BYOC Tremolo is one hell of a pedal. Easy build, too.

I got the PCB from somewhere. Probably BYOC? It was a while ago (2013).

I use mine a few times in the set, Paint it Black to do the sitar part, Red Elvises - Love Rocket and Cheap Sunglass for the part with the Rhodes and ring modulator.

Indeed, I have not! Never heard of it. Looks pretty sporty though. That is Walrus/Wampler level gear based on features.
