Re: My Turn! NGD!!

Thanks gents.

Played it for about 10 minutes last night. Neck HEAVY!! HMMMM gonna do a couple things to fix that. Just towards the end I changed my approach to how I was playing, more single note riffs than chording, and it was beginning to grow on me. New set of strings and a look through on Sunday. :headbang:

I see you already have a strap button placed, but you may try one of these. I have a bolt King V project I put together (not this pic) and I placed mine on the neck side upper bolt, the one higher than in this pic. It's very balanced. Killer looking guitar. No bridge pickup?

Re: My Turn! NGD!!

Yeah man, I am way ahead of you on that. Gonna switch to Dunlop Straplocks and moving both buttons.

Wow!!! That's gorgeous. Congrats and enjoy.

Re: My Turn! NGD!!

I like it as long as you don't stick it in front of that crazy orange carpet again lol. It's unique in so many ways I have no choice but to love it. Congrats!

Thanks again for the kind words. Nice platform for some ideas. Straplock button placement is on my list at the top. Needs counter weight to the body.

Re: My Turn! NGD!!

Two month reprise!

Guitar LOVES Drop D tuning. Moved the strap button and installed Dunlop Strap buttons to match my straps. No counter weight needed. No other changes. All Gotoh hardware. Fun guitar. Aceman approved. :headbang:

Re: My Turn! NGD!!

The strap button should not be on the tip, but on the inside of the upper wing. More wood on the body side instead of the neck side. That's partly why Jackson's Vs balance better than Gibson's.

Re: My Turn! NGD!!

You have some of the coolest guitars I've ever seen! Congrats on another awesome Axe!

Re: My Turn! NGD!!

Looks VERY GOOD! I don't know how I missed it before. Is the carpet 70's or 80's? LOL
