It has a neck through maple neck with Swamp ash wings and a rosewood board. I forgot about the flame maple veneer on the top.

I'm not so sure anymore WFD... A friend of mine sent me a webpage with the same axe as yours labelled as one, I didn't question it. It was a surprise to me that the JCFs gurus didn't know about it.

Its a Jackson SL-4. They can be had for around $500 used. I tell you what, you get one hell of an axe for $500 with one. BTW, mine has Bill Lawrence XL-500 and L-500c pickups, I installed an original Floyd Rose, 5 way super switch, and the chrome rings and truss rod cover were made by www.fretsonthenet.com. There is a natural finish one on Ebay right now if you want one.

Its not that bright at all. Its fairly balanced I would say. It is resonant as hell though!!! When you strike a note or a chord, it will vibrate your stomach like crazy. It is more resonant than other axes I have played. I must have got a really good one.

AHAHAHA jackson Rules, altough.. i didn´t PLAY enough time in a Japanese jackson.
i had one js-1 made in Malasya or indonesia. great playing guitar, HORRIBLE WOOD.
and i lpayed a dinky reverse from a friend of mine, but, the neck was too thin FOR my tastes.
but i need to play another jackson, and a made in usa soloist too.
