Ok ive put down my Singlecut long enough to take some pixs of my 8 month old lump o wood.
Its a 2003 handmade USA Bernie Rico Jr Sinister Custom. Build number 01 03 03. As far as im aware theres only 5 of these in the worls at this time, and only one in this colour/finish/specs.
Its a mahogony body with a highly carved flamed maple top. (stunning!) Mahogony neck thru with an ebony fretboard. The inlays are what he calls his 3D stars, quite a bit different than your average dot or block inlay.
All hardware is Grover and finished in high gloss black.
The pups are SD SH6 in the bridge and Jazz in the neck, these sound huger than god in this guitar! And i can almost get a “round” sound outa the jazz pup, but still no sign of mudding out.
Now what amazes me about this guitar is the build quality, amazing to say the least! Not one fault.
Now the finish, the red dye over the mahogony and maple looks almost 2 inches deep due to the multi layers of gloss clear dripping all over it!
Just like a “candy apple”.....
Anyways just thought i’d share this “different” guitar with you all!
