Was shopping around in the starving musician (nice little music store round here, typically has good prices on used gear), and came across a DOD stereo chorus 565 for about 30 bucks. Played around with it for a little bit, and was diggin a couple of the sounds I was able to get out of it. And here it is:
And a gut shot, just cause I love lookin at the insides of these things
. Admittedly not exactly quality workmanship. But, hey, its a DOD.
It's a little more on the subtle side of the chorus spectrum...which I like. Cranking the width and speed can get some very nice leslie-type sounds. The "delay time" knob makes the whole effect very tweakable. A very cool sounding pedal :fing2:, especially for the money.
Dated this one back to 1982 at the very earliest by checking the codes on the pots. Need two nine-volt batteries to power this thing too. I'm thinking I might look into modding it with a voltage step-up circuit I found on GEO and just using a standard 9V adapter with it.
Anywho, just wanted to share
. This is about my 5th chorus pedal. I'm sick in the head.
