WTF??? You are not serious!!!! You can't. It has such a killer tone. Play that one through the PlexiTone. :baby:

BUt I meant good enough tone to cover uo my crappy playing
Have some confidence in your playing will ya! You have good timing, solid chord changes. Good stuff, mang. :fing2: Need to hear more lead stuff.

Re: My whole guitar setup is in Rid's hands right now....

Ah ok...Well we have a R55 combo...and I hate its guts with an evil heart:D
Cardboard sounding box amp...the sound sits way in there and will not enter the room in any way.
We have changed tubes, speakers, played through different cabs.... not giving us much we like, it is only the boss who likes that amp;)
so I hope for you that the Chubster is a major improvement:D

Nah...she's going....Hamer can do everything it can and much more. I'm really trying to pair down to one guitar, and one amp setup. Just don't have the room, and could use the $.

LOL...if I was a better lead player and was able to record against a backing track, I would. But I've never been much of a lead player....I'm more of a Rudy Schenker as opposed to Michael...my fingers don't listen to my brain :D

:smack: Damn. If I could, I would, but I can't so I won't. LOL. Wife would KILL me if I tried to get another guitar, especially with her not working and we still need to buy Christmas for our little one. Maybe after the Tele is done I can either buy one or build one. Maybe by then I won't have G.A.S. for one anymore, who knows. I love guitars though so I doubt it...lol.

Being a Rudy Schenker ain't bad. He's one of the best rhythm players out there IMO.

Agreed..at least as regards to Robbin....he kinda always got that "just there for show" title...

I was never a fan of Mick (good tones, but I hate his playing, and his blatant Schenker ripoff )

K...I'll go with Vinnie then :D

did you mean "here" or "dear"? :D

I've never been satisfied with my playing..even when I was younger and had much better chops (real life kinda gets in the way of practicing 6 hours a day  ). Likely never will be..but I'll keep plugging away (much to the chagrin of those within earshot :laugh2: ) Once I get the gear all worked out..it's time to get down to a serious practice routine to work my way back up.

I'll try and get up some "initial comments" tonite at some point (it's 3PM EST right now here)

He was just solid all over, and he had a liking for Firebirds. :D

I was so-so about his playing until I saw the Crue live in 1989. He had killer tone, good chops, and filled in where needed, not too over the top.

I meant "here". :laugh2:

There are times when I'm not happy with how I'm playing so I put it down for a little bit or I go back to my roots and play some old KISS songs again. Anything to keep the motivation and positiveness up.

I suspect you don't want me to post pics of his Hamer Firebird I found yesterday? :laugh2:

Yeah, I'll be going back to jamming along with Live and Dangerous for my "Chop Building". I finally found my copy of the CD :D

Rid,

Will let you know..gotta say I'm impressed by the look of tha damn thing for sure! Solid Pedal. Don't expect any clips of the caliber of Steve's playing though :D

I hadn't seen his Hamer Firebird. Just the crapload of Jacksons he had. Please, share.

I miss the guy terribly. Collage was a good RATT album but it was missing his rhythm chops.

Re: My whole guitar setup is in Rid's hands right now....

Jeff, if this goes well you could become RID's USA franchise distributor?
