Mystery strings????????

Question, I have a guitar that I bought second hand and it is now time to change the strings. I have no way of bieng sure what kind of strings these were,but I liked them very much.

They look and feel like 9s and have colored rings like the D'addario acoustics I usually buy. The rings are,from high E, purple,copper,green,red,blue and brass.
Not much to go on. I know....

I usually use earnie ball hybrids for my electrics and am not that familiar with other brands..are the colored rings a point towards D'adds?

I know..strings aren't that expensive I could try several but a point in the right direction would be nice.

I think you are correct on the D'Addario guess.

Just checked out D'adds site...man they make alot of different kinds of nikel wound electric strings...

i think D'Addario is the only one that does different color ball ends but they are (from low E to high e) brass, red, black, green, purple, silver.

hmm, these are in the correct order by gauge. I originally wondered if the color was an indicator of gauge and this would help identify which set, but I'm thinking not....?
