Several new things I used here:

Home made amp I just finished last week - been tweaking a few resistor and cap values - it's gettin' pretty close to what I want to hear.
Used my new Line 6 Bass Modeler for bass - definitely an improvement over me strugglin' for a bass sound...
Heil PR 30 on one speaker in the 2x12 (loaded with Tone Tubbies)
Also used a Teese RM2 wah - picked it up used - it's growin on me :)

Double tracked all the rhythm and some of the solo work. Used a Reaktor patch from Native Instruments for the synth in the breakdown. Still patching my LXP5 in for the clean guitar to add some warnth.

Thanks guys - I'm just an ex-hairband dude who can't freakin' grow up :-)

As far as the amp, I'm about to finish up the schematic now that I have the component values pretty much where I want them. I'd be more than happy to share if anyone wants it.

Re: N*e*w s*o*n*g

ya, ur playing on that song is really good no matter what style or age bracket. I dont know any guitarist that would be like "ya I dont want to have the ability to shred really good" in all honesty...

Dude - I really do appreciate that. Funny thing is, I keep on trying to get out of that mindset and can't... I have a couple things I'm working on that may get me break that mold but who knows - I'll probably muck it up with more guitar than it needs.

And to everyone else who's commented - THANKS!

Re: N*e*w s*o*n*g

Very cool man, love all the doubled parts - I could never remember all those notes. :)
The Bass sounds pretty good now. Which POD did you get?

Thanks man.

I picked up a used Bass POD Pro rack unit for 200 bucks. I'm pretty happy with it so far - definitely made life a lot easier for me...

Re: N*e*w s*o*n*g

Here's the amp I did this with... The Fury logo is from some 60's Plymouth Fury. The V8 logo on the cab is from a 54 Studebaker :)

Pictures are kinda dark - I'll see if I can brighten them up once my daughter gets off my other computer. :angryfire

Wow... great stuff and the amp looks good too! I'm going to change my username to "ain't learned Jack yet!" All the best.

Re: N*e*w s*o*n*g

If Passion and Warfare had been produced by the Devil, or better yet, Jack Butler, this would have been the result. That is fabulous, that doubled stuff is just sinister. Really a fun track!

Re: N*e*w s*o*n*g

WoW dude...that is some serious PLAYING!!!

Very good recording too!!!

Thanks man. Naaaa - I don't wind my own. I did it once in the early 90's and it was a total pain in the a$$ without the right equipment. The transformers in this one were replacement 5150 models I had from years back. The solos were done on one of my home-mades loaded with a Full Shred in the bridge. The rhythm tracks used a Hamer custom with a Trembucker in the bridge.
