N/OBD: Yamaha Attitude Plus (with mods)

One of my old Yamaha Attitude Plus bass guitars has returned to the roost.

This example is black with a maple neck. It already has my customary Gotoh 201B bridge upgrade. The DiMarzio Will Power pickup requested by the previous owner will be removed. I am mulling over whether to repeat the Pro Active P and Blackouts EQ mod as per my Seafoam Green example or to try an SPB-3 or -4?

I already have the active parts ready to install. I know that this configuration will work. I'm just not sure that I want two basses exactly the same. Perhaps, I should string it with flatwounds?

I have already started down this road. I had the SD electronic parts in a drawer, ready. I know that the eventual sound will be utterly professional. I also like the fact that there is no need to cut a battery compartment.

The options for this particular bass are that it can either be left at my brother's house for jamming/recording purposes or be down tuned.
