N(used)GD: Ibanez Destroyer

Went to Guitar Center yesterday to pick up some pick ups I had ordered, and happened to see this hanging on the wall for $279. A buddy of mine has the same guitar, and I've always liked, and have recently been gassing for an explorer type. It's got Dimarzio D-Activator X's which I'm not a huge fan of, but they work for the moment. I'm actually half tempted to put the new forum pups in this thing...

Oooooooo!!!

I love that!

Not gellin' with the DA-X neck? That's seriously one of my all time fave neck pups.

Congrats on the sweet guitar, man.

I haven't messed around with the neck too much yet. I know I'm not a fan of the bridge...at least in this guitar. I used to have one in an RG, and that wasn't bad. My buddy switched his bridge out for an X2N. Though, I'm not really feeling that either.

I love those, really think chrome pick-up covers would make it fantastic...

Try a SuperD or a Super3, Crunchlab is cool too....

Which dude here had the Destroyer problem? As in succumbed to Destroyer gas too often?

the bridge on that looks like one of those funky 70s gibson bridges.

I like destroyers! good find.

^^^^
Ibanez's proprietary hardware has always been fantastic. They were locking the bridges to the posts 20 years before Tone Pros or Faber.

Nice guitar, man.
