NAD - Blondes are hot

So I got this baby today - R3000 which is around $375.

Sounds great so far, but the transformers are not original. Does anyone know of where I can get a drop in set of transformers that has a 240v tap on the PT? Or able to get MM transformers at their discounted price?

That looks like about a 62 or 63. Great amps. My buddy has that same amp with the matching cabinet. His Mom bought it for him on his 18th birthday. Very cool amp. I believe Clapton used one on the Blind Faith album. I know there is a picture of one on the album somewhere. Great sounding amp. I have no idea where you can get trannys for it.

Bludave, it's July 63. Last month the 6G9-Bs were made. Pretty lucky! I am extremely happy with this amp!

Thanks Convoys. I have done some Googling and know about the MM replacement transformers, hence me asking if someone can get them at their discounted price. They're a bit steep for my wallet.

Nice score. If you want to clean it up really good, use Murphy's Oil Soap on the tolex. It erases all the dirt in the crevices.

too cool by far!
you can either get a step own transformer fomr your local electronics shop, or go to mercury magnetics. if they dont have a 240 tranny for you, then you can send them yours and they will wind it to 240v. Otherwise, you might get a variable tranny from mojo musical supply.

I guess the 240v thing is a big deal, but if it sounds great, I'd not mess with it. at least not the OT.
