NAD - El Bassbreaker 007 (Cabeza)

Been wanting one of the BB's since they came out, found a killer deal on a new Secret Agent head. Check your local GC if you're looking for a deal on these, they might be clearing them out. Way better than any advertised price I've seen new or used:saeek:

It has some great mid ground sounds, gets a little funky and can flat out Rawk but it seems to really like warm, tweed-y sounds the best. Maxed out it's a little too raucous at least thru my 4x10 but bring it back a little from the edge and it's loud and usable.

Ooo, nice score! There's a shop in the city that has a 68 Bassman with matching 2-12 I have my eye on...

Congrats! I've been eyeing one of those myself, but I've read they have issues with hum at lower volumes. I assume yours is fine?

It's got a little of that low hum but I've never owned a tube amp that was dead quite unless it was off.

There is nothing offensive about the noise this thing makes at all.

Got up this morning and just grooved on it with my LP and some ZZ riffs, perfect old school Top tone

ive always found single ended amps to be a little more noisy but boy can they be fun

Finally did some recording with it last night, pretty happy with it.

Ran it into a Marshall 4x10, pretty much flat out, it was good

Congrats on the new amp, love the Fender Bassbreaker! Incredible amp that is a nice bridge from Fender to Marshall, IMO.
