Awesome awesome AWESOME amp! IMO, the Bassbreakers are one of the best new things Fender has come out with. The tone is amazing and the drive tone is the best I've heard out of a newer Fender amp.

Congrats and enjoy!

Re: NAD - Fender Bassbreaker 15

Does it have the USB port you were wanting?

No USB. But it does have the power amp-mute with speaker emulated XLR line output. I haven't tried that yet but Fender calls it "recording friendly". I don't yet have an audio interface but definitely will be exploring that function. If anybody here has experience with that I would love to hear your thoughts.

Experience with ... the recording out of the Fender, or USB interfaces? :)

Sorry, I realize now I should have been clearer with my question. What I am really wondering is if I need a USB interface while recording from the Bassbreaker's XLR to computer. If I don't need a USB interface do I just need an XLR cable and an adapter to convert it to 1/8, and then just plug it in?

You can get a quality interface for so little money now, it's well worth having; it will make your life a whole lot easier! I like the Focusrite Scarlett Solo for that type of work. (I have 4 different Focusrite interfaces, one one each computer lol).

I had this same conversation with a friend here a while back
Get a Berhringer USB mixer
Slightly more inputs and you can use it later at gigs

I have my eye on an 18 channel that will send each channel independently to the DAW software

OP, what do you think of the amp (tone, feel)?

I have played the head version of this amp but am curious what you think of the combo.

Re: NAD - Fender Bassbreaker 15

that amp is a great "bang for the buck" amp. The price is right, the sound is right, it takes pedals well, and you did well. way to go:beerchug:

I am still working my way around it but really like it a lot so far. It's a bedroom amp for me at this point so I appreciate that it sounds great even at low levels. Of course, it sounds it's best when really cranked, just like most all tube amps. I think the tone that comes out of this amp is really great. The clean tone is a little darker than your normal Fender, as expected. But engaging the bright switch is where its at for me.

So far I don't love the digital hall reverb, but it takes pedals well and loves my Boss DD7 and chorus pedals.

I do wish it had foot switchable channels. Absent that detail I really think they did an excellent job with this one.
