As some of you may already know, I've been expecting a new amp. I've placed an order on it nearly a month ago, and now I had the chance to pick it up.
For some time now, I've been thinking of getting a new amp to replace my 10 watt practice amp, and to replace the tradition of always using backline amplifiers every gig. I went through many choices, and found myself undecided. Came one day, I read a facebook post that a contact of mine was having an amp built and modified based on his liking. I contacted the builder, and the rest is history.
As the aesthetics show, this is a 50 watt Plexi clone with a master volume. It has Shuguang preamp tubes and JJ power tubes. There's quite a few differences from the prototype I tried at the builder's house. This one has an effects loop, is noticeably heavier, and has the aforementioned JJ tubes instead of Svetlana ones. Maybe it's because it was in the middle of a rainstorm last time, but I think that mines louder than the prototype... and my neighbor is a cop

I really can't wait to take this out to a jam, a rehearsal, or a gig.
