Nad incoming

Re: Nad incoming

I'm likely to get a 1960A eventually, though at my current gig, the cabinet just holds up the amp head. I run through an isolated 112 with an in ear system.

Re: Nad incoming

So you're playing a 100-watt amp through an earbud
Basically, yes. I mean, I bought it to play out, too, and partially because it's been a dream of mine to own one. It's still moving a speaker, into an SM57, so it's like hearing a recorded version of it almost. It still sounds good. It's better for the overall sound not to have the stage be so damned loud, so an isolated speaker is better for everyone.

Re: Nad incoming

Have you run into the shared eq dilemma aka "it's not really a channel switcher it's two amps in one."?

Since I have been running single channel amps for so long, it's not even an issue for me. Maybe at the higher gain settings, I might want a little tweak, but I honestly do not miss not having a separate tone stack on each.

Can't wait till you get to crank that sucker. The first time I rolled the volume up to 7 was s religious moment for me :)
