After deciding I want to be a Marshall guy again, I spent some time checking them out. It's been several decades since I had one. Finally narrowed it down to something new: JVM and DSL. Liked them both VERY much. As it turns out I am a Marshall guy. That sizzle is in my head and my blood. I decided on the DSL40c. Gets really close to a bunch of classic and modern Marshall tones. Great little amp and cheap too, whoohoo! So I pulled the trigger... on a Mesa Mark V 25.
Pretty sure this wouldn't have happened had I not read Little Pigbacon's thread about recto-lust.
Pics and buyer remorse to follow.

The DSL40C is a great amp for the money, but Mesa stuff has voodoo in it.

I have the Mark V:25 head with the two 112 Recto cabs for a great little stack.

I LOVE THIS AMP!

Plays great at low volume, sounds fantastic when pushed. Incredible versatility. Even though it has a 2xEL84 power section, it feels at times like it has 6L6 power. And it was really simple to set up and dial in.

I really believe in buying good gear. This is an amp you could keep for a lifetime.
