NAD- Mesa Recto Reborn

Found a great deal on a Reborn Recto and I couldn't pass on it. I've been a long time rack guy and have a great Triaxis/2:90 set up. Still, really enjoying the Dual Recto in the limited time I've played it so far. Took me no time at all to find some great tones.

Congrats! Great sounding amps.

I've been out of the Mesa world, what's a "Reborn"?

They were released about 5 years ago, so that's quite the rock you've been living under :D
There has been been various revisions over the course of the Recto's history, and the this is the current one.
It has the Multi-Watt feature (50W or 100W for the Dual, 50W or 150W for the Triple), improved FX loop, tuner out and a couple of other new/improved features. They've been revoiced slightly too.
FWIW, the Single Recto was discontinued many years ago too. With the Mini Rectos and the Multi-Watt feature of the full size heads, the Single Recto was more or less made redundant in their line up.

Been having a lot of fun with this amp so far. The FX loop is really good but man, I don't know why, there is just something else that happens when I bypass it. It's almost the same thing with my mini, but not as drastic. This is first time I may actually consider just not using a loop at all. Mind you it does not sound bad with the loop, far from it.

For me, I find the amp generally sounds better if I run the channel masters low (9:00-10:00) and the master output up higher... but I agree, as hard as I've tried it does sound better with the FX loop bypassed.

That said, if you're playing live you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

Just a reissue with multi-watt? I knew about the mini, etc.

Jeff, I agree about the loops, etc. The more stuff I remove from my Road King the better it sounds. Loops, solo boost, overall master, channel switching, etc. With just 4 individual amps effectively, it just sounds better with less between the guitar and the speaker!
